Auntie's Bookstore opened in 1978 in the Spokane Flour Mill and has been selling books ever since. Auntie's moved to its current location in the Liberty Building in 1994.

KIDS CORNER:
The children’s area is enchanting (I know we’re a little biased, but, really, you have to come see for yourself)! It’s the perfect place to browse or just sit down and sift through a pile of great books. Our staff loves getting children into the store and into good books. Our children’s manager, Lindsey, is available Tuesday through Saturday to answer questions, connect kids to wonderful new books (now that their favorite series has come to a close), and make sure parents and grandparents get the perfect gift for that birthday coming up in a couple of weeks.
We have a large selection of new and gently used books, which means that kids can get more with that gift certificate they got for Christmas, and teachers and librarians on a budget can get more for their classrooms (we also offer discounts to teachers and librarians if the books are for the classroom - call and we’ll tell you more). Come down, browse our wonderful selection, and let your imagination fly.
USED BOOKS:
Auntie's is pleased to offer used books as well as new. We receive used books from customers daily (see below for tips on this program) and each section in the store contains some popular used titles, so plan to spend a little time browsing. We also have a bargain corner where we sell books for next to nothing, which is lucky for you, since you reap the benefits of hours of entertainment for just a couple of dollars.
BOOK GROUPS:
Auntie's is proud to support and encourage book groups of all types. We host several groups here in the store (for more information see "Our Book Groups") and we display books for a number of groups who meet at home. If your group is registered with us, please mention to our cashiers that the book you are purchasing is for your book group and you will receive a 15% discount. If you are not registered and would like to be, please come down to the store and fill out our book group registration form or send an e-mail to linda@auntiesbooks.com.Locations

PARKING:
Parking downtown can be a bit of a trick sometimes, but for the pleasure of browsing in our amazing store, we’re sure you will find it to be worth the extra little bit of trouble. We have included some helpful information on this page that will hopefully make it easier for you to find parking.
PARKING VALIDATION...
We validate parking if you spend $20.00 or more in our store. Just ask the cashier and they will be happy to give you a parking coupon that is good on that day or for up to two weeks from the date of issue.
STREET PARKING...
There is metered parking available on the streets all around our store and the meters are checked by the City of Spokane between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. From 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. we are open and street parking is free. Street parking is also free on Sunday's and major holiday's. We are more than happy to trade bills for quarters if you find that you are short on change.
LOT PARKING...
There are three parking lots that charge within a block of Auntie’s.
To the west you will find a Park Rite lot.
To the east you will find a Diamond Parking lot.
On our block you will find an Ampco Parking lot.
CURBSIDE SERVICE...
If you find that you are in a rush and don’t have the time to find parking, we are more than happy to bring your book to you. Call us, we will find the book you are looking for, charge it to your credit card, and then come out to the curb to give it to when you arrive outside. We request that you give us at least 30 minutes notice so that we have time to get all of the necessary information from you and then ring the book through our system. Please call us 5 minutes before your intended arrival and we will then meet you on the east side of our building where there is a passenger loading zone.Photo Gallery
